Autograph inscription in Hawkins' hand, a note of the text of a tablet. One page, 8vo, no place, 1st Jan. 1824: "Written, on reading Dean Ireland's diffuse Inscription for the Tablet just up in the Cloisters of Westmr. Abbey: To the Memory of James Bartleman, Who, in the Choir of this Church, and under the tuition of Dr. Benj. Cooke learnt to modulate one of the finest English Voices and who subsequently thro' Life made it his Greatest Boast. . . .'' Neatly tipped to a leaf from an album. In very good condition.
