Typed letter signed, one page, 8vo, on personal printed letterhead of Great Hill Road, Newtown, Connecticut, 18 February 1971. To [Maurice] Sagoff, sending warm regards to the Kaplans, and complimenting him on the publication of his poetic parody of prose classics, Shrinklits, an edition of which remains in print today: ". . . I enjoyed Shrinklits all the way. And I mean all the inside and outside jokes, the unexpected twists like the cool cat coming on little Fogg feet, the outright as well as the implied puns -- the Hardy bit . . . the turn of 'a tale of peace' substituting for 'a piece of tail.' Making the book even more delightful, the tongue-in-cheek drawings are exactly right. . . . Congratulations." With a few creases and a pale stain at the lower right; else very good. (Item ID: 21457)
