2 autograph letters signed, 3pp, 8vo (one on blue paper), Paris and Fitzroy Square, 18 November 1856 and 2 June 1858. To an illegible recipient, and to Henry Mayford[?] Esq., concerning logistical arrangements for the transport of her paintings: "Last spring I sent a drawing in water colors called 'charity girls' for exhibition to the Crystal Palace. . . . I do not know whether the picture ought to be removed -- or whether it has been already and may be sent somewhere where it might sustain injury. . . ."; "I am informed on making enquiries at the Portland Bazaar, that pictures will be received there . . . from the Crystal Palace. I should . . . feel obliged by my copy from 'The Virgin of the rocks' being forwarded at the same time. . . ." Some light fading and soiling; one with a small area torn away from the bottom of the (blank) integral leaf; postmark at upper right corner of earlier letter, touching return address; remains of prior mounting. Good.
